Kanye West wants to use his self-described genius and creativity to redesign Instagram.

While speaking at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this week, the 37-year-old rapper said he asked Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom, "Why don't you let us redo Instagram?" E! News reported. "Now, you know, Instagram is nice. It's nice-looking -- I'm not knocking it. But in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones."

Although he didn't specify his plans to revamp the popular photo-sharing app, he suggested, "Just as a simple task, we could clean that up.

"The world as a whole is f*cking ugly," West said at the event Tuesday. "The Internet as a whole is f*cking ugly, too."

During a recent interview with Power106 FM, the hip-hop superstar took shots at President Barack Obama.

"You can't effect change from inside the White House like that. ... You gotta have the money," he said about the president Thursday morning, according to the Daily Mail. "Good ideas usually aren't connected to money as much. ... Creativity and extreme genius are extremely cheap.

"You do not want to go against the power," he said. "I'm working on one mission, and that's a mission from God."

He also recently honored the mother of his child, Kim Kardashian, with a wedding gift they both could really appreciate: a nude portrait of Kim in a G-string.

According to The Mirror, the hip-hop artist commissioned renowned street artist Bambi to paint a portrait of the 33-year-old reality star, which they plan to hang in their bedroom. In the painting, titled "Perfect B*tch," Kim is topless and is posing seductively, wearing only a black G-string and Louboutins.

Bambi's agent and manager, Leonard Villa, said Kanye specifically asked for an image that is "something regal but typically Kim."
