Super Bowl LVI: Cooper Kupp Wins MVP, Aaron Donald Gets Emotional as Rams Complete Comeback vs. Bengals
Super Bowl LVI has concluded with wide receiver Cooper Kupp winning the MVP title and defensive tackle Aaron Donald getting emotional as Los Angeles Rams was named as the champions of this year's game.
Donald said during an interview that he was so happy and that he dreamt of this moment. He then described the moment as surreal.
The Los Angeles Rams shared Donald's clip on their official Twitter account, with a caption "WE DID THIS" with a mention to Donald's Twitter profile.
Donald said "it was the best feeling," and that "God is great." Meanwhile, Kupp became the Super Bowl LVI's MVP.
A few days ago, Kupp was reported to become the first wide receiver in more than two decades to receive NFL MVP vote, according to a CBS Sports report.
The Los Angeles Rams' Twitter account also posted Kupp being the Super Bowl LVI's MVP, with a caption "who else but Cooper Kupp!"
Kup became the first receiver in league history to surpass 2,000 receiving years in a season during the Rams' win over the Cardinals in the wild card round of the playoffs.
In 20 games this season, Kupp recorded 170 receptions for 2,333 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Los Angeles Rams as Super Bowl LVI Champions
The Los Angeles Rams got the Super Bowl LVI Championship with a 23-20 win against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a Fan Nation News report.
Matthew Stafford finished 26-40 for 283 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Meanwhile, Kupp had eight receptions for 92 yards and two scores.
Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow was 22-33 for 263 yards and one touchdown with no turnovers.
Odell Beckham Jr. started as an early MVP candidate for the Rams with a touchdown and big first-down catch in the first two quarters against the Bengals.
Beckham got injured, walking to the sidelines with help. He then went to the locker room but did not return before being officially ruled out in the third quarter.
CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones said that Beckham paid a quick visit to the Rams' medical tent before leaving the field.
The NFL posted on their Twitter account, announcing the championship being snatched by the Rams.
Meanwhile, free safety for the Rams, Taylor Rapp, proposed to his girlfriend during the Super Bowl LVI celebration.
The Rams' Twitter account also tweeted about Rapp's proposal to his girlfriend, congratulating their free safety and captioning the post with "more than one ring tonight."
ESPN also took to Twitter to express their congratulations to Rapp, with the caption "two rings in one night."
Rapp has been a leader for the team's defense all throughout the regular season, with him helping lead his team to an NFC West title and kept receivers covered, according to a Lineups report.
After his injury, the safety cleared all concussion protocols and has been active on the roaster. He was seen in practice and appeared to be back to normal on the field.
