Megan Fox was reportedly "surprised" when her ex-husband Brian Austin Green broke the news that he was expecting a child with his girlfriend, Sharna Burgess.

A source told Entertainment Tonight Thursday that the actress was a "little surprised" when she learned about it. Aside from being surprised, the source also revealed the state of Fox and Green as parents.

"Brian and Megan do things for the sake of the kids and have finally gotten to a point of peacefulness and respect," the source said about the newly divorced co-parents. 

"Megan knows she can't block Brian from pursuing his own happiness and does like Sharna and think she's sweet," the insider noted, adding that the former couple "balance things well."

The source further noted that the "Transformers" star is currently focused on her own engagement with Machine Gun Kelly, and the actress does not "overthink" how Brian's new baby will "affect the family dynamic" with her and their three boys.

Megan Fox Is 'Happy' About Brian Austin Green Having a New Baby

Another source told Page Six that Megan Fox was "very happy" for Brian Austin Green's new baby with Sharna Burgess. 

"She's happy for the kids that they will be getting a new sibling," the insider noted, adding that Megan is aware that her kids are also excited about having a baby sibling.

The insider then added that Megan wished Sharna and Brian the best and thought their baby was a "good thing." Megan's comments came after Brian announced that he was expecting a baby with Sharna.

Brian took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that they were expecting to have a baby boy. He posted a photo of his hand holding Sharna's belly while they were on a beach.

"We want to thank everyone for the amazingly kind well wishes," Brian said, adding that they were expecting to have the baby delivered around the fourth of July.

Brian tagged Sharna in his post. The actor said he could not wait to see her holding their child.  Sharna Burgess also hopped in on Instagram to express her thoughts about her pregnancy. 

"And suddenly, my world would never be the same. Forever greater, forever expanded, and deeper. Forever abundant and unconditional," Sharna wrote, with a blue heart emoji.

Sharna also told Brian that she loves him and their "growing" family.

Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess' Announced New Baby

The Instagram posts of the couple happened after a photo shoot on a beach in Maui, where the "Dancing with the Stars" pro's subtle baby bump can be seen under a white bikini and straw bucket hat, Page Six reported.

Another photo showed Brian Austin Green kissing his girlfriend's belly while they were in the sand. Their photoshoot came a week after Sharna Burgess promoted a home fertility testing kit on her Instagram account.
