Texas: $250,000 Reward Up to Help in Search of Missing 4-Year-Old Girl Lina Sadar Khil
Texas has upped its reward for the missing four-year-old girl Lina Sardar Khil, with the Islamic Center of San Antonio now offering $200,000 for information leading to the girl's whereabouts.
On top of that, San Antonio CrimeStoppers announced that it will hand out a "guaranteed $50,000 reward" for those who have information that would lead to the arrest or indictment of a suspect accused of any involvement in the child's disappearance, according to a CNN News report.
An Amber Alert was issued on Dec. 20, 2021, which was the last day Khil was seen at a San Antonio playground.
The Amber Alert was then discontinued on January 7. However, San Antonio Police reassured Khil's family and the public that efforts for the search of the four-year-old were still in place.
The Police Department released a statement on social media, saying that it is critical to communicate that Khil is still a missing person and that they continue to follow-up on leads, according to a WFLA News report.
San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus tweeted that the police department is still finding Khil, adding that there has been no pause in their efforts.

Pamela Allen, who is representing the Khil family, said that they are praying that Lina will be back in the arms of her family.
The playground that she was last seen is near the family's home at the Villa Del Cabo apartment complex.
San Antonio Police said that Lina Sardar Khil was out of sight from her mother for an unknown amount of time before her mother realized that the four-year-old was nowhere to be found.
A spokesperson for SAPD said that the agency is in partnership with their federal counterparts to find Khil.
Lina was three when she went missing. Her family and the community prepared to gather near the family home on Sunday afternoon to celebrate her birthday and pray for her safe return, according to an ABC News report.
Lina's mother, Zarmeena Sardar Khil, is currently pregnant with her second child.
Zarmeena said that her four-year-old daughter's disappearance is affecting her a lot, as well as her other child who is coming to the world.
Lina's family is part of an Afghan refugee community in Texas. They had arrived in the United States in 2019 and speak Pashto.
Meanwhile, a Federal Bureau of Investigation dive team has joined the search for Khil, with the elite 12-member FBI Underwater Search and Evidence Response Team flying in from Washington, D.C.
McManus said that the team was checking a lead, according to a CBS News report.
The police chief added that the situation looks like they were onto something, but all they were doing are follow-ups.
Lina's father was seen praying near the site as the FBI team was searching at a creek a little more than two miles from the family's apartment.
The father said that he had not been aware that the FBI search was ongoing, adding that at one point he thought his daughter was found dead.
The four-year-old has brown eyes and straight, brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, red dress, and black shoes.
