Seán McComish Hits His Stride on New Single ‘Fade Away’
"I was a kid, to be honest." So says Seán McComish, speaking about his upcoming single 'Fade Away'.
"It's interesting," he explains, "because so much has changed since I wrote this. It's an older me, singing the song of a younger me."
Written in 2017, it quickly became a crowd favourite in McComish's acclaimed live set. Having discovered a new love for the production side of music over the lockdown, he felt it was time for the beloved set closer to get a proper studio rendition.
"On my last song ('Stay Away From Me'), I made 12 different fully-fledged versions of it before we finally finished it. But finally - I got it. I figured it out. Over the last few years, I feel I've finally cracked producing and mixing. And I just love doing it. It's a lot of trial and error. But I love it."

'Fade Away' is a relentless and saucy slice of pure pop. Silky smooth synths, driving unstoppable drums, and tight vocals, its infectious rhythm looks set to dominate radio throughout Spring 2022 and beyond.
It is written, produced and mixed by Seán McComish, with additional production and percussion from Darren Bradley, and mastering by Fergal Davis (Muse, Sinéad O'Connor).
