With her skills in writing and her unique angelic voice, Taylor swift was able to garner massive awards from different ceremonies and accolades, making her one of the most famous singers of her time.
However, Taylor Swift has another achievement on Wednesday, as New York University awarded her an honorary doctorate degree in Fine Arts Honor.
She delivered a commencement address for NYU's class of 2022 during the graduation ceremony, per Variety.
Swift told the graduates that the last time she was at a big venue was when she wore a glittery outfit, contending that her graduation uniform is more comfortable to wear.
She also did not allude to many of her hit songs during her speech, but the "Safe and Sound" singer used a line from one of her songs when she address the relatives and friends of the graduates who came from out of town.
"Let me say to you now: Welcome to New York - it's been waiting for you," Taylor said.

Taylor Swift understands the pressure the youth face when it comes to figuring out who they want to be. Taylor swift addressed that issue and told the graduates how they should deal with it.

Never Be Ashamed of Trying
Another inspiring statement Taylor Swift pointed out on Wednesday is to never quit and that being effortless is not true.
"But I'm the one who's up here, so you have to listen to me when I say this: Never be ashamed of trying... Effortlessness is a myth. The people who wanted it the least were the ones I wanted to date and be friends with in high school. The people who want it most are the people I now hire to work for my company," Taylor Swift noted.
Mistakes Do Not Equal Failure
As a successful country and pop singer, it might surprise to hear the words failure from Taylor Swift.
In her speech, Taytay guaranteed the NYU graduates that they will inevitably misspeak, trust the wrong people, overthink, and even sabotage. She noted that these kinds of mistakes will cause them to lose a lot of things.
However, Taylor Swift underscored that losing things or failure is not the end of the world.
"A lot of the time, when we lose things, we gain things too." Taylor Swift said to the graduates of the NYU.
