No matter what, Barbara Walters can't seem to stay too far from "The View."

Since retiring last month from the hit ABC show that she created, Barbara Walters is already scheduled to make a comeback on the show as a guest-star.

The New York Daily News reported that the 84-year-old journalism icon will talk about her interview with Peter Rodger, the father of Santa Barbara killer Elliot Rodger, on "The View."

Walters' guest appearance is scheduled for this Friday, June 27, hours before her 20/20 Peter Rodgers interview later that night.

The Rodgers family reportedly requested specifically to have Walters as the person for Peter's exclusive interview.

Since the news of her guest appearance on "The View," reports have commented that Walters will most likely find it difficult to stay out of retirement like she previously announced on "The View."

After all, it's only been six weeks since she has "retired," and she is already doing sit downs and TV guest appearances.

Walters also held on to her position as executive producer for "The View," so lucky for fans, they will more than likely be seeing the legendary Barbara Walters grace television screens despite her retirement.

Walters officially retired from daytime television on May 16. "The View" dedicated a farewell episode to Walters on that day and invited guests Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey to honor Walters on air.

The NY Daily News reported that Walters' "goodbye" episode was the fourth most-watched show in "View" history with 5.2 million viewers.

Since retiring, Walters has also given back. Last month, Walters donated an archive of tapes, papers and photos from her five decades in journalism to her alma mater, Sarah Lawrence College. She also spoke to the Sarah Lawrence students on the importance of "finding their bliss."

Safe to say that Barbara Walters will continue to motivate and inspire us.
