Amber Heard on Tuesday pushed back on the report that she was booted from the "Aquaman 2" film, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," following her loss in the defamation trial with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Heard retaliated through her spokesperson, telling People that the report from the site called Just Jared was not accurate.

"The rumor mill continues as it has from day one - inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane," Heard's spokesperson noted.

Amber Heard gave life to the role of "Mera" who acted in the franchise alongside Jason Momoa, Dolf Lundgren, and William Dafoe, according to Fox News.

The second installment of the said DC film is scheduled to be released in 2023.

Warner Brother has not yet addressed the allegations of the report Heard's camp retaliated on Tuesday.

Report Claims Nicole Kidman Will Replace Amber Heard in 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom'

Before Amber Heard's spokesperson denied the actress being booted from "Aquaman 2," a report from Just Jared surfaced online, claiming that the role of Heard in the film will be recast and Nicole Kidman will reprise the role.

"Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard's role after screentesting the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman," an insider told the outlet. The insider also noted that Kidman would play the role of Mera in any future DC film.

Another source later revealed to the publication that Amber Heard was not completely removed from the second installment of the film, contending that the actress still has a small role to play in the film.

However, the insider did not reveal Heard's role after she was allegedly replaced by Mera.

DC Chief on Amber Heard's Performance on 'Aquaman'

Weeks before the report of Amber Heard being removed from "Aquaman 2," DC Films Head, Walter Hamada, revealed in his testimony in Johnny Depp's trial that she and Jason Momoa had no chemistry.

Hamada furthered that the issue prompted talks about Heard's role "would be better of recasting."

However, Heard's talent agent, WME's Jessica Kovacevic, also virtually testified in her defamation trial, confirming that the issue of having no chemistry with Momoa was raised to them, making Heard receive a smaller part in the forthcoming sequel.

Kovacevic also stressed that there were no "performance issues" with Heard raised to them.

Meanwhile, industry expert Kathryn Arnolds mentioned when she took the stand on the trial that Jason Momoa wanted Heard to continue to play her role in "Aquaman 2."

Arnolds added that the first installment of the film was Heard's big break in the industry, but the "defamatory statements" against her made movie studios wary of working with her.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp battled over a 2018 op-ed the actress penned, where she painted herself as a domestic violence survivor.

Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages after the jury declared that Heard defamed the actor on all accounts following a nearly seven-week trial in Virginia. The actor originally sought $50 million for the damages.

Meanwhile, Amber Heard won one of her three counts of a countersuit against Depp and was awarded $2 million in damages.
