Bill Gates' net worth now stands at $120.6 billion, which went down by 1.49 percent or $1.8 billion.
Approve forecasted him, along with many other billionaires, to be part of the world's trillionaires in a certain time period.
Included in the list is Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is forecasted to be a trillionaire by the year 2024; Gautam Adani and Family projected to be a trillionaire by 2026; and Chinese internet entrepreneur Zhang Yiming to be a trillionaire by the year 2026.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was also predicted to be a trillionaire by the year 2030 when he is 65-year-old. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is also included in the run-down, with him being a trillionaire by the year 2034 when he is 49 years old.
Bill Gates Trillionaire
The Microsoft founder is projected to be a trillionaire by the year 2044, when he is 88 years old.
Independent News reported in 2018 that Gates may be $915.6 billion away from becoming the world's first trillionaire.
An Oxfam report on wealth and inequality with the title "An economy for the 99 percent" discovered that super-rich people like Gates have seen their wealth collectively grow by huge margins over the last decade.
His wealth is projected to have a jump "like never seen before" in the next 25 years.
In 2009, there were 793 billionaires around the world, according to Oxfam's report. Their net worths totaled $2.4 trillion once added up.
The report noted that if the returns continue, it would be possible to see the world's first trillionaire within 25 years.
Currently, Musk is the one leading the race to become the world's first billionaire, with a current net worth of $264 billion and an annual growth rate of 129 percent.
Bezos was first set to be the first trillionaire. However, he is now projected to reach $1.06 trillion six years behind Musk.
Bill Gates: Net Worth
Gates co-founded Microsoft with Paul Allen in 1975. He has also transferred at least $5.7 billion worth of shares in public companies to Melinda.
Forbes reported that Gates owned about one percent of the software and computing company's shares when he stepped down from the Microsoft board in March 2020.
In 2006, he started spending less time with Microsoft and more time working on charitable pursuits.
Gates has invested a bit in real estate, starting with the first home he purchased, which is a 66,000-square-foot estate in Seattle, Washington.
Go Banking Rates noted that it is valued at $147 million and is called Xanadu 2.0.
He and Melinda brought the original property for $2 million in 1988 and have spent tens of millions of dollars improving the lake-front property.
He bought a 492-acre ranch in Cody, Wyoming. The property has been previously listed for $12 million.
Gates then bought a second ranch in Wellington, Florida in 2013 for $8.7 million.
The former Microsoft CEO launched Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with his wife in 2000, which is considered the largest charitable organization worldwide.
