Amber Heard revealed that there is a binder worth of years of therapist notes from 2011, the very start of her relationship with actor Johnny Depp. The notes were taken by Heard's doctor, to who she was reporting the abuse.

Heard released the therapist notes just before her interview with Savannah Guthrie is set to air on NBC's dateline, according to a Washington Examiner report.

Guthrie gave a description of NBC's review of the documents and highlighted an event in 2012 in which Depp allegedly hit Heard, "threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her."

Guthrie's husband had served as a consultant for Depp's legal team.

In addition, the documents noted that Depp allegedly ripped Heard's nightgown and threw her on the bed.

Amber Heard's Interview

Savannah Guthrie pressed about testimony given by several witnesses who said they "saw Heard instigate violence" against Depp during their relationship.

The Daily Mail reported that the actress insisted that she "never had to instigate it" and that she only ever "responded to it," while claiming that she only became violent towards the actor to "cope with" the abuse she alleges Depp had subjected her to.

The Aquaman actress said that when one is living in violence and becomes normal, one has to adapt.

Heard said that one does "adopt strategies to cope with it." She added that she was got for a very long time before she even knew how to defend herself.

Guthrie also pointed out that Heard is the only woman to have come forward with allegations of abuse against Depp, asking why nobody else has spoken out if they had endured the same violent treatment she claims to have.

Heard then replied and said, "look what happened to me when I came forward. Would you?"

Johnny Depp on Allegations of Abuse

A spokesperson for Depp responded to Heard's interview with NBC, saying that the actor simply wants to "move forward" after he won his case, as reported by New York Post.

Depp's said in a statement that it is unfortunate that while Depp aims to move forward with his life, the defendant and her team are back to "repeating, reimagining, and re-litigating matters" that were already decided by the Court.

The statement added that the verdict was unanimously and unequivocally decided by the jury in Johnny's favor.

Depp sued Heard for defamation after the publication of a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she called herself a victim of domestic abuse.

A jury found that the editorial was about Depp and awarded him $10 million in compensatory and $5 million in punitive damages,

Meanwhile, Heard received $2 million in compensatory damages for her own countersuit.

Heard said about Depp that she knew she tried the best that she could to make a "deeply broken relationship working."

She added that she has no bad feelings or ill will toward Depp.
