Arianna Huffington on 'The Wendy Williams Show': Media Mogul Talks About Digital Detox and Hillary Clinton for President
The highly influential and well-respected Arianna Huffington of the Huffington Post made a guest appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show" to talk about her book "Thrive."
Huffington came on the show in a classy white suit and kitten heels despite preferring flats to anything else, as she revealed during her interview with Wendy.
The 63-year-old Greek-American author and columnist gave tips and pointers about how people should manage their work life in order to avoid as well as reduce stress. She advised the viewers to practice living in a stress-free environment especially after she experienced collapsing in her office and sustaining minor injuries, including a broken cheekbone and a cut on her eye that required a few stitches.
After the two talked about the Huffington Post headquarters, in which Arianna has installed a couple of nap rooms for rejuvenating and refreshing her employees, she then continued talking about the 12 steps she mentions on her book. Her tips include dedicating a certain period of time every day to turn off all electronics and avoid the digital world completely. Even though she owns an iPhone, an iPad, and three Blackberries, Arianna Huffington said it doesn't matter how many gadgets you have as long as you go through a digital detox once in a while.
Towards the end of her guest appearance, Wendy asked Arianna what she thought of Hillary Clinton running for president in 2016, to which she replied by saying that she thought it would be fantastic to have a woman president. She further added that Clinton would be able to run the United States much differently from how men have been running the country.
After stepping down from her position as Secretary of State, Clinton said she wanted to be "untired," something which would probably allow her to become a better president. She gave the analogy of putting on one's oxygen mask in a plane before helping anybody else. Watch the interview below:
