Will Smith has shared a clip on his Instagram showing him and his 29-year-old son Trey catching a tarantula at their Southern California home.

Fox News reported that Smith has found himself back on social media after the widespread Christ Rock Oscars slap in March.

Smith filmed his son catching a spider underneath a glass bowl in a post. He captioned the clip by saying that they were staying at a Holiday Inn.

Smith was heard in the video saying that it was a big spider before Trey reassured his father that it was a tarantula. Smith then tasked his son to deal with the spider, with him saying, "you gotta get that out of here," according to a MARCA News report.

Trey then traps the spider in a glass bowl and then manages to safely remove the spider.

Chris Rock Oscars Slap

Smith has posted a video addressing the incident of him slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards in March.

The video had a statement that reads that he was doing a "lot of thinking and personal work," adding that many have asked a lot of "fair questions" and that he wanted to have some time before he answers the questions.

Smith said that he has reached out to Rock and replied by saying that the Oscar host was not ready to talk and would reach out when he is, as reported by CNN Entertainment.

He then apologized to Rock and said that his behavior was "unacceptable."

Smith noted that he is prepared whenever Rock is ready to talk to him again.

Aside from the stand-up comedian, Smith also apologized to Rock's mother, family, and brother, Tony Rock.

Tony starred in the sitcom "All of Us" in 2007. The sitcom was created by him and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith said that he and Tony had a great relationship.

The actor also apologized to his wife, their children, and their fellow Academy Award nominees in the post.

Will Smith Slap

Rock was on the stage to present the winner of the documentary feature category. He started with a joke that was focused on Smith's wife, Jada.

He joked about her bald head, saying that G.I. Jane 2 cannot wait to see Jada's hair.

The Washington Post reported that Smith went up to the stage and slapped Rock across the face. He returned to his seat and yelled at Rock saying, "Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth."

The joke was in pertaining to a film Demi Moore starred in 1997, which was "G.I. Jane." It was directed by Ridley Scott.

In the film, Moore is a woman who joins the Navy and shaves her head during her military service.

Jada suffers from a medical condition called alopecia, which causes hair loss.

Meanwhile, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced in April that it would bar Smith from attending the Oscars for 10 years due to the slap.
