Eva Mendes dated Peruvian producer George Augusto for nine years before they decided to call it quits.

According to Pop Sugar, the Latina actress said at the time that she was not interested in marriage while they were dating.

Mendes noted that she does not think "marriage is necessary as society makes it." She added that she does not have a negative point of view on it.

The two dated from 2002 to 2011. Augusto is famous for producing "Guilty Hearts" in 2006 and being involved in "Good Time Max" production in 2007.

After their split, Augusto still worked for Mendes as an assistant. In 2011, Eva Mendes was spotted with Jason Sudeikis in New York City on a double dinner date with Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka.

An eyewitness at L'Artusi restaurant noted that Mendes and Sudeikis went out for a smoke break, wherein he told the actress that they make "a great team," according to Yahoo Entertainment.
