Trevor Noah is departing "The Daily Show" after seven years of hosting the late-night television program on Comedy Central.

Trevor announced it on his 7th anniversary on Thursday. A Comedy Central source told TMZ that Noah's crazy schedule made him decide to leave the show. 

"We are grateful to Trevor for our amazing partnership over the past seven years... As we look ahead, we're excited for the next chapter in the 25 plus year history of 'The Daily Show'," a spokesperson for Comedy Central said in a statement.

While it is unclear when Noah will leave the show, the source noted that Noah and the Comedy Central team were working on "a timeline for his departure." Noah confirmed that he will be leaving the late-night show while taping the series on Thursday.

He started his statement by reflecting on his time on "The Daily Show," which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Noah told his audience how he was "filled with gratitude for the journey" of hosting the show.

"It's been absolutely amazing. It's something that I never expected. And I found myself thinking throughout the time... everything we've gone through, the Trump presidency, the pandemic, just the journey of, you know... And then, and I realized that after the seven years, my time is up," he noted.

After replacing former host Jon Stewart seven years ago, Trevor Noah said, "It's time." He also said he realized that there was another aspect of his life he wanted to continue exploring, like learning new languages and traveling and performing abroad. He added that he missed "just being everywhere, doing everything."

Trevor Noah, Dua Lipa Rumored to Be Dating After NYC Date Night

Trevor Noah and Dua Lipa were rumored to be dating after they were spotted having an intimate dinner date in New York City on Wednesday night, Page Six reported.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed the comedian, 38, and the singer-songwriter, 27, having a romantic dinner at Miss Lily's, a Jamaican eatery in the East Village. An eyewitness told the outlet that the two were sitting quietly away from everyone else at the restaurant. 

"It was clear they were into each other and sat close together throughout the meal," the source said. The insider added that Trevor Noah and Dua Lipa left and walked together, stopping for hugs a few times and even kissing before going their separate ways.

Trevor Noah is known for keeping his dating life private, but his fans know he was in a serious relationship with Minka Kelly. Thus, his photos of kissing and hugging Dua Lipa confuse his fans.  

However, HITC reported that a source close to "The Roommate" actress told People last May that Kelly and Noah broke up for good early this year.

According to the source, Kelly, 42, had the best attitude to her breakup with Trevor, saying she was happy and would rather stay single than waste her time with the wrong guy.

Meanwhile, Trevor Noah or anyone close to him remained silent about their breakup.
