Khloe Kardashian Reveals Cancer Scare After She Finds Out Her ‘Zit’ Was a Face Tumor

Khloe Kardashian said she recently underwent a procedure to remove a tumor from her face.

According to NBC News, the 38-year-old "The Kardashians" star posted a series of pictures on her Instagram Story on Tuesday that explained what happened. When she first saw the bump months ago, she said she thought it was a pimple.

"After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied seven months after realizing it was not budging," Khloe wrote next to a close-up photo of the bump.

After two dermatologists said the bump was "extremely rare" for a person her age, Khloe Kardashian noted that she had the lump biopsied.

Khloe Kardashian said: "A few days later, I was told I needed to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face," so she called a family friend and one of the top surgeons in Beverly Hills, Dr. Garth Fischer.

According to StyleCaster, it was still unclear what caused the tumor or if it was cancerous since the word "tumor" can refer to any abnormal growth.

Khloe also explained the importance of constant health checks. She said she had melanoma on her back that was removed through surgery when she was 19, which is why she is pre-composed to melanomas.

She noted that everyone should be checking their health all the time, whether they have experienced the same or not, as most people are not as lucky as her. The cancer scare comes weeks after her surrogate gave birth to her and her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson's baby boy on August 5.

Garth Fisher recently removed a tumor from Khloe Kardashian's face and is speaking out. According to ET, Fisher expressed his joy that Khloe could move from the cancer scare and thanked the Good American co-founder for letting him operate on her.

He said it felt like he was operating on "his own daughter." Fisher reposted Khloe's Instagram stories and wrote how she and her family have been dear to him.

He also said he was saddened that she had to undergo such a procedure to remove a dangerous face tumor. He added that he was honored that Khloe trusted him and his staff and was tremendously relieved that they got it all out.

"I'm grateful to share that Dr Fisher was able to get everything - all my margins appear clear, and now we are onto the healing process," Khloe wrote.

"So, here we are... you'll continue to see my bandages and when I'm allowed, you'll probably see a scar (and an indention in my cheek from the tumor being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous these face bandages look," she added.
