Times Square Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Krysta Rodriguez is officially joining the Broadway cast of The Collaboration.

Krysta Rodriguez has been well known by many for her illustrious career on the stage and on the screen. She has been seen in iconic television shows such as the original Gossip Girl. She has also performed on Broadway numerous times in impressive roles. She originated the role of Wednesday Adams in the Broadway production of The Addams Family. She is currently playing Cinderella in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's well-beloved theatre classic Into the Woods. Even after she makes her way out of the woods, she will be remaining on the Broadway stage. It has been announced that she will take on a leading role in a production of The Collaboration.

The Collaboration is a play by Anthony McCarten. The Manhattan Theatre Club summarizes the show saying:

In the summer of 1984, longtime international superstar Andy Warhol and the art scene's newest wunderkind, Jean-Michel Basquiat, agree to work together on what may be the most talked about exhibition in the history of modern art. But can these two creative giants co-exist, or even thrive?

Rodriguez joins an already star-studded cast. According to an article on Deadline, Krysta Rodriguez will join the cast alongside actors Erik Jensen, Paul Bettany, and Jeremy Pope. Krysta Rodriguez will take on the role of Maya. Maya is the girlfriend of painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. The role of Jean-Michel Basquiat will be played by Jeremy Pope.

The Collaboration is set to begin performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on November 29th.
