Gisele Bündchen Released Separate Statements About Their Divorce
The marriage between Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady has been on the rocks for months now, with Gisele reportedly being unhappy with Tom Brady's decision to come out of retirement and once again play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
She gave Brady an ultimatum to choose between his football career and his family. However, Brady has been clear that he wants to focus on playing football, and it seems that Gisele's ultimatum has not been met.
In a statement, Brady said, "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way."
He added that they will continue to "work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve." He also stated that he and Gisele arrived at this decision after much consideration.
As for Gisele, CNN reported that she echoed her now-ex-husband's sentiments. "With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart," she said, adding that they will continue co-parenting together to give their children the attention they deserve.
The Tom Brady-Gisele Bündchen Divorce Started With an Epic Fight
The rumors that the couple was going through a rough patch was first broken by Page Six after a source close to the couple told the outlet that Gisele walked out of their Tampa home and flew to Costa Rica. The two reportedly had an "epic fight" after Brady decided to unretire.
Gisele eventually went back to Florida to spend time with her kids but is now living separately from Tom Brady, as she is now living with friends in Miami.
The two have reportedly been in disagreement for years, and this all stemmed from Brady's NFL career, which he seemingly chose over Gisele. The Brazilian, known for her fiery Latin temper, has voiced her concerns over her husband's safety in various interviews, stating that he is now an older player in a highly-physical sport like football.
