Former Florida Cop Confessed to Tracking Her Police Officer Boyfriend in an App Before Shooting Him in the Head
Former Florida cop, Yessenia Sanchez, admitted on camera to shooting her estranged police officer boyfriend after she actively stalked him through "electronic means," according to a police report.
The police report also noted that a "closed-circuit television camera" captured the incident entirely and that the victim, who was also a Miami-Dade police officer, was shot in the head.
The 32-year-old former Florida cop is charged with first-degree attempted murder with a deadly weapon. She is also currently being held without a bond, as reported by Law&Crime.
Aside from the first-degree attempted murder, she was also charged with aggravated stalking and a separate case involving one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage.
The Miami-Dade police officer victim was identified as Damian Colon and was in "extremely" critical condition, according to Hialeah Police Sgt. Jose Torres.
It was reported late Friday that the victim was out of surgery and was determined a critical but stable condition.

Former Florida Cop Tracking Police Officer Boyfriend
Sanchez and Colon had a seven-year relationship, with police noting that Sanchez used to track her ex-boyfriend to a home in the 1200 block of West 79th Street.
Authorities also noted in a Miami Herald report that Sanchez unholstered her gun and shot him once before taking off and crashing her vehicle into another car while she was trying to escape the scene.
Police said Sanchez then abandoned her vehicle and took off on foot before being caught by law enforcement authorities.
Authorities said that they identified Sanchez through video surveillance. She then confessed to the shooting and admitted to stalking the victim with GPS.
Multiple law enforcement sources noted that Colon, who was off duty, was inside his pickup truck, which was parked outside his family's Hialeah home just before sunrise on Friday when Sanchez pulled up.
Colon then got out of his truck and walked to the porch, with Sanchez following behind. The suspect then shot him at point-blank range.
Former Florida Cop's History of Violence
Police officers arrested Sanchez last year while she was still a police officer.
In Sanchez's arrest form, she claimed that her fight with Colon started over childcare, adding that she got angry that she hurled a "ceramic object" at her boyfriend.
The report said that Colon left and she called and asked him to return. Police noted that Colon went back and Sanchez was pointing a gun at her head, which he was able to take away from her.
Colon then tried to leave again, which prompted her to punch and scratch him before grabbing a knife and threatening to harm herself again.
Sanchez also threatened to slash his tires. Colon then found the tires of his police car flattened.
Miami-Dade police arrested Sanchez. She then claimed Colon slapped her in the face, but officers noted that she had "no evidence to support her claim."
