Chiquis Rivera Twitter, Univision & News 2014: Jenni Rivera's Daughter Set to Make Musical Debut at Premios Juventud
Chiquis Rivera is making moves with her career.
Jenni Rivera's daughter will be performing for the first time at Premios Juventud on July 17, notes TV Y Novelas.
Univision has confirmed that she will participate in the award show that takes place this summer, and that there will be a "super surprise."
She took to Twitter to add that she was also "very excited" about the event.
Rivera launched her music career earlier this year on Jan. 16 with her song "Paloma Blanca," which she dedicated to her mother. Within two hours, the video got 30,000 views, and it now has more than two million views.
Rivera is nominated for three categories: catchiest song, one based on social media popularity and favorite video.
The singer and reality TV star's video features her on a beach, where she wears a lot of black. The video also has childhood pictures and some additional videos. Rivera looks sorrowful throughout the video, so the performance will probably be something that is very hard for her to get through.
Rivera and the rest of her family are gearing up for the release of Jenni Rivera's album.
Chiquis expressed her enthusiasm on Twitter.
"I already want it to be July 2!!!! I know that you are going to love my mom's new record," she said.
Rivera was slated to become a judge on Telemundo's newest beauty pageant reality show, but the show was postponed last minute. Some people believed it was because Nia Sanchez was crowned Miss USA, so a Latina winner was no longer necessary.
The official statement offered quite a different explanation.
"We have made the decision to postpone production of 'Miss Latina Universo' to assure that the series reflects the quality and standards of the 'Miss Universe' and Telemundo brands," the statement said, according to El Nacional.
