'Fury' Movie Trailer & Cast 2014: Actor Brad Pitt Stars as WWII Tank Commander, Shia LaBeouf Immerses Himself in Support Role [Video]
Brad Pitt will finally be returning to the big screen to star in epic World War II movie "Fury."
David Ayer will direct the movie, which takes place in 1945, the year the war in the European theater wraps up as the allies make their final push. It is about an American Sherman tank platoon led by "Wardaddy" (Pitt). He and his five-man team (including Shia LaBeouf) are ordered to cross into enemy territory, outnumbered and outgunned, and strike at the heart of Nazi Germany in their tank, "Fury."
The cast also includes soldiers played by Logan Lerman of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," Michael Peña of "End of Watch," Jon Bernthal of "The Walking Dead," Jason Isaacs of "The Patriot," Scott Eastwood of "Grand Torino" and Xavier Samuel of "Adore."
In an interesting report in January, Shia LaBeouf was said to have taken his role a little too seriously, according to the cast and crew. He did not shower for weeks and did other things to get a feel for being inside a tank for weeks. The director also made the actors bond by dropping them off in the wilderness with no modern gadgets.
The trailer starts with a monologue in which Pitt describes the team's situation and says that when you don't think things can get worse, they will.
"Fury" is scheduled for release in November.
