A recent California shooting in Beverly Crest left three people dead and another four injured on a Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police from the West Los Angeles division responded to several 911 calls about the shooting that happened around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday at a rental property on Ellison Drive, according to the LAPD's press release.

The LAPD added in its statement that five victims were found with gunshot wounds, with three of the individuals pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner is still determining the ages and genders of the deceased.

Police confirmed that the three dead victims were in a vehicle parked in front of the residence while the four wounded victims were standing outside.

Authorities later on noted that the latest California shooting was not an active shooter situation.

Sgt. Frank Preciado of the LAPD noted on Saturday that three people were killed inside a vehicle, with two of the four victims taken in in private vehicles to area hospitals.

Meanwhile, two others were transported by ambulance, according to spokesperson Sgt. Bruce Borihanh.

The spokesperson for the police department said that investigators are still trying to identify if there was a party at the rental home or whatever type of gathering was happening at the time.

Police have no information on suspects, with the block sectioned off as investigators scoured for evidence, according to Borihanh.

One neighbor noted that the home is often rented out for parties.

The neighbor, Rachel David, said that it was a "rental party house," adding that it was not like the neighborhood became "crazy" all of a sudden, according to KTLA 5.

David added that somebody did not check who was renting the house.

The property was estimated to be worth $3 million and is situated on a cul-de-sac and was described by real estate platforms as modern and private with a pool and outdoor shower.

The LAPD noted that investigators are interviewing other occupants and witnesses of what happened to the area.

The police department said that they can confirm that it was "a gun battle," where victims got shot.

California Shootings

A mass shooting earlier occurred at a Monterey Park, California dance hall, with the elderly man who conducted the shooting found dead by self-inflicted wounds.

The suspect was Huu Can Tran, 72. Tran managed to kill 11 people and wounded nine others at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio.

Most of the victims were of Asian descent and were elderly.

Another shooting also occurred last week, with a farmworker managing to kill seven people at two Northern California mushroom farms in Half Moon Bay, California, according to officials.

The suspect in the Half Moon Bay shooting was identified as 66-year-old Chunl Zhao. He was held in custody for suspicion of seven counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

It was reported that it was not Zhao's first workplace rage fit, with him accused of threatening to split a coworker's head open with a knife in 2013.

On a separate occasion, he tried to suffocate the man with a pillow, according to court documents.
