Powerball Winning Numbers: Did Anyone Win the Massive $653M Jackpot, or Top Prize to Rise to $700M?
The Powerball jackpot during Wednesday night's draw reached $653 million. So, here are the Powerball winning numbers, and let's see if you're the newest millionaire.
According to USA Today, the winning numbers for Wednesday night's drawing were 31, 43, 58, 59, 66, and the Powerball was 9. The Power Play was 2X.
The $653 million Powerball jackpot had a cash option of $350.5 million. The odds of winning were a measly one in about 292.2 million, which means there was a very low chance of winning the top prize.
Powerball is being played in 45 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each ticket is worth only $2. The player can choose or opt to randomly receive five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball.

Wednesday Night's Powerball Jackpot Is the 8th Largest
California Lottery officials said the $653 million Powerball jackpot ranked as the eighth largest in the lottery game's history, KTLA reported. The Powerball jackpot climbed to $653 million after no one won on Monday night.
Monday night's Powerball winning numbers were 1, 4, 12, 36, and 49, with the red Powerball 5. The Power Play was 2X. To win the Powerball jackpot, your numbers must match the five white balls and the red Powerball.
Powerball also offers eight more opportunities to win a prize across the game's non-jackpot tiers, depending on the number of balls matched. Non-jackpot prizes are between $1 and $4 million, and a prize could go higher if you opt into "Powerplay" by paying an extra $1. Powerplay multiplies non-jackpot winning money by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.
The 10X Powerplay option is only available when the prize is $150 million or below. The Powerball game's second-tier "Match 5" prize is capped at $2 million for the Powerplay.
Players have another chance to match their numbers after each Powerball drawing through the additional add-on feature called "Double Play," which s available in some jurisdictions for $1 per play.
Powerball Jackpot Jumps to $700 Million
According to Magnolia Reporter, there was also no grand prize winner on Wednesday night's Powerball drawing. Thus, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to a whopping $700 million for Saturday night's drawing, with a cash option of $375.7 million.
During Wednesday's night drawing, there was one Match 5 + Power Play winner of $2 million in New York and two Match 5 winners of $1 million in Florida and North Carolina. The Powerball jackpot was last won on November 19, when a ticket in Kansas matched all six balls, winning a $92.9 million jackpot.
Last year, seven Powerball jackpots were reportedly won, including the world record $2.04 billion jackpot won by a single ticket in California last November 7. The lucky winner in Altadena, California, correctly matched all six numbers to win the Powerball jackpot. The lottery player's identity currently remains a mystery.
