Gerard Pique has been quite the busy man lately, as he is not only busy with the King's Cup but also trolling his ex-partner, Shakira. Recently, the former FC Barcelona star admitted that he did not bother sending Lionel Messi his congratulations for winning the World Cup.

Messi and Pique actually grew up together at Barcelona's La Masia academy from the ages of 13-17, according to Football Espana. Pique would actually leave for England and play for Manchester United before returning to FC Barcelona and playing with Lionel Messi once again.

However, Pique admitted to TikTok personality John Nellis that he did not send his old teammate a congratulatory message after winning the World Cup in Argentina.

"My last months were very hard and I needed to disconnect. I haven't seen any sport, and I didn't even see any World Cup games. This will be seen crazy to you but I didn't watch any games, just the final and not the whole game," the Catalan soccer star admitted.

However, in Messi's last years with the Spanish club, it seems that he may have had some disagreements with Pique. The Argentinian was reportedly unhappy with Pique's professionalism, while Pique reportedly told FC Barcelona management that it would be best for the club to let Messi leave and get out of their financial troubles.

Gerard Pique Gets in Trouble While Droppings Kids Off at Shakira's House

While Pique may have had a big disagreement with one South American, he is currently having a huge beef with another, and that of course, is his ex-partner, Shakira. Now, he has experienced some backlash for letting his kids in the rain as he dropped them off at his ex's home in Barcelona.

Shakira and Pique had a relationship that lasted over a decade and resulted in two children. However, with their breakup, Shakira is taking the kids and plans to move to Miami. With this, Pique is spending what time he has left with his kids and was seen dropping them off in the middle of a storm.

Fans are calling out Pique as he stayed inside the car as his kids were getting drenched while waiting for the gate to be opened and let them inside.

One of the kids, Milan, can be seen barely handling the suitcase as the rain continued to pour. People on social media started handing criticisms to the former FC Barcelona star, sarcastically saying what a great father he is.

Shakira Wanted 20 Children With Gerard Pique

While the two were just a few years into the relationship, it seems that the Colombian music icon wanted to have a lot of kids. To be exact, she wanted 20 of them with her then-partner Gerard Pique.

According to Essentially Sports, a 2014 interview with the "Waka Waka" singer has resurfaced, and it revealed that she wanted to have 20 children. It noted that at that time, she was still pregnant with their second child, Sasha.

"With Gerard, I'd have 20 children, but I don't think I'll have the luxury to do it. For now, we're going for the second one. We'll see what happens. We'll see if one day we get a girl. We'll see," the Colombian said back in 2014. This comment might raise some eyebrows now, given how badly the breakup is currently going.
