Donald Trump Election Meddling Probe: Georgia Grand Jury Found No Widespread Voter Fraud
A new report from the special grand jury in Georgia that investigated Donald Trump's 2020 election meddling and claims of widespread voter fraud has finally been released. It had several bombshell findings, including lying witnesses and that there was no widespread voter fraud.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ordered a limited release of the Special Grand Jury's findings earlier this week. However, the judge was also clear that all their findings would not be made public in the report just yet, according to CNN.
The reason for this is that there are recommendations about potential charges to several people, and those named in those recommendations may not have appeared in grand jury proceedings so far. No names of individuals have been released on Thursday's report.
Georgia Grand Jury Debunks Donald Trump Claims, Unanimously Finds No Widespread Voter Fraud
The report showed all 26 members of the Georgia grand jury unanimously rejecting former President Donald Trump's claims that there was widespread voter fraud in the state, according to the BBC.
The report stated that the grand jury members "by a unanimous vote that no widespread fraud took place in the Georgia 2020 presidential election that could result in overturning that election."
The grand jury heard extensive testimony from poll workers, investigators, technical experts, employees, and officials from the state of Georgia. This finding establishes that Trump really was trying to overturn the results of a legitimate election. This could factor into the charges the former president may be facing as prosecutors weigh in on whether they should indict Trump and his allies.

The Georgia special grand jury investigation is running alongside the current special counsel investigation into January 6 as both the Trump meddling in Georgia, as well as the January 6 capitol insurrection are tied in the former president's attempts to overturn the results.
Trump famously called Georgia officials, including Republican Governor Brian Kemp, and have them give Trump more votes and hand him the state's electoral votes. However, Georgia officials refused Trump's alleged meddling and even testified against the former president in various cases, including this one and the House January 6 committee.
'One or More' Witnesses May Have Committed Perjury in the Georgia Special Grand Jury Investigation
Another bombshell finding that the report revealed was that "A majority of the grand jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it." It also recommended that the district attorney should make indictments for these crimes as they found the evidence compelling.
Several Trump allies, including former Ney York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, were ordered to testify before the grand jury. They were asked about the 16 people who were "alternate electors" in the state, according to NBC News.
However, Senator Graham, a staunch Trump ally, stated that he is confident that he testified "openly and honestly" when asked about several witnesses possibly committing perjury.
