Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine in the upcoming "Deadpool 3" movie, and he revealed on Monday that he has started "bulking" up in preparation.

The 54-year-old actor revealed on Instagram what diet he will follow to prepare for the iconic superhero role.

He shared some photos of the specially prepared meals he will eat, like salads, pasta, and other dishes, including a chicken burger and vegetable rice, to help him get into shape for the physically demanding work.

According to The Daily Mail, each meal has its calorie count, ranging from 1,100 calories up to 2,100 calories per meal. Hugh will likely bulk up again in preparation for his role as the renowned comic book superhero, as men his size need roughly 2500 calories daily to maintain their weight.

"Bulking. A day in the life. Thank you, Chef Mario, for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst... Becoming. Wolverine. Again," Jackman also wrote on Twitter.

Jackman reportedly consumes more than 8,000 calories daily from as many as six meals, including 2,000 calories worth of black bass, two chicken burgers that add another 2,000 calories, another 2,100 calories of Patagonia salmon, and two grass-fed sirloin steaks, each counting another 1,100 calories each.

Hugh Jackman Says He's Not Using Steroid, Prefers to Do it the 'Old School Way'

While on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in January, Hugh Jackman discussed getting back into Wolverine condition for "Deadpool 3." He noted that he was already up to 4,500 to 5,000 calories daily and working to over 6,000.

At this point, Jackman has far surpassed that mark, Movie Web reported. Jackman also dismissed rumors that he used steroids to bulk up to play Wolverine in past films.

Considering how much food Jackman consumes and how much time he spends in the gym, that is not so hard to believe.

The "X-Men" star noted that he relied heavily on eating chicken during a February interview with Chris Wallace for CNN. He felt compelled to apologize to vegans and vegetarians.

"I just did it the old-school way," Jackman said. "And I tell you, I've eaten more chickens - I'm so sorry to all the vegans and vegetarians and to the chickens of the world. Literally, the karma is not good for me. I'm in trouble if the deity has anything related to chickens."

'Deadpool 3': Highly Anticipated Movie

Fans are excited for "Deadpool 3," not just because Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine. The X-Men were able to officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox.

As such, Shan Levy's massive hit has the potential to alter the course of the series entirely, according to Cinema Blend. Ms. Marvel's conclusion is only one of several places in Phase Four where we get hints about the mutants' eventual introduction to the MCU.

With Patrick Stewart playing Professor X in "Doctor Strange 2," audiences are eager for the X-Men to unite significantly. We must wait for "Deadpool 3" to determine how everything fits together.

"Deadpool 3" with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine will be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.
