Nashville School Shooter Audrey Hale Sends Chilling Message to Friend Before Killing Spree
Audrey Hale's former middle school basketball teammate looked at her phone to find a chilling message from the Nashville school shooter on Instagram.
Averianna Patton revealed that Hale had left a suicide note minutes before the attack, saying she planned to die by suicide and would see it on the news after she died.

In the messages that Patton provided to NewsChannel 5, Hale promised to reunite with Patton in another life. Hale shared with Patton about her desire to end her life as she no longer wanted to live.
"One day, this will make more sense... I've left behind more than enough evidence behind. But something bad is about to happen," Hale wrote.
Patton could not believe she was the last person the Nashville school shooter spoke to before he killed six people. They were once teammates on the basketball team at IT Creswell Middle School.
"I am trying to wrap my mind around it all, how I'm involved, how I'm sent the message. I got many questions, and I'm giving them to God," Patton noted.
Patton told the outlet that she contacted the Nashville Davidson County Sheriff's Office to make them aware of the situation, and she was given Nashville's non-emergency number to call. However, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said it was too late.

Nashville School Shooter Legally Owns 7 Guns
Audrey Hale has legally purchased seven firearms from five separate stores, Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a news conference early Tuesday afternoon, Yahoo reported.
Hale's parents informed police that the 28-year-old was also receiving medical treatment for an emotional disorder.
"Law enforcement knew nothing about the treatment she was receiving, but her parents felt that she should not own weapons," Drake said.
However, Drake noted that Hale's parents thought she no longer possessed any guns because she had sold one.
"Had it been reported that she was suicidal or that she was going to kill someone and had been made known to us, then we would have tried to get those weapons," Drake told reporters.
Unfortunately, they have no idea, he added. The investigation has not yet determined the motive for the murders. According to Drake, it appeared that Hale targeted the school rather than any pupils or faculty members.
Authorities have released body cam footage from officers who responded to the deadly Nashville school shooting at a Christian grade school on Monday.
The footage from the body cam of one of the police officers shows Hale arriving at the school at 10:24 a.m. or 11 minutes after calls were made that an active shooter was on the Covenant School campus in Nashville.
