FX 'Sons of Anarchy' TV Show Cast News: Charlie Hunnam Dislikes Internet Death Hoax Ahead of Season 7 Start Date [Watch]
While FX's highly anticipated "Sons of Anarchy" Season 7 is currently in production, lead actor Charlie Hunnam becomes a victim of yet another viral Internet death hoax.
The fake celebrity death reports emerged online on Tuesday, June 17, soon after the creation of the "R.I.P. Charlie Hunnam" Facebook page, which quickly gained a million "Likes." The page stated somewhat believable evidence for the 34-year-old's demise.
"At about 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday (June 17, 2014), our beloved actor Charlie Hunnam passed away. Charlie Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980 in Newcastle upon Tyne. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."
The social media networking website was immediately filled with condolence messages from fans, expressing their immense sadness of the British star's passing. However, some inevitably became skeptical of the fraud post since there have been numerous death rumors going around on the Internet, and the news was not covered by a major newspaper or network.
According to Star Magazine's June 2014 issue, Charlie Hunnam's reps officially confirmed on Saturday, June 28, that the previous claims were completely made-up, and the "SOA" actor is not dead.
"He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax," the reps said. "He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet."
Hunnam was not happy with the death hoax and thought it was "unfortunate."
"A couple of my friends called me, kind of panicked," he told TMZ recently while getting on a motorcycle. "It's kind of in bad taste, really, to joke about people dying."

Hunnam is set to return to FX in September as protagonist / SAMCRO President Jackson "Jax" Teller in the final season of hit outlaw motorcycle club series "Sons of Anarchy."
