Frigate Bird Sanctuary
The Frigate Bird Sanctuary is found in Barbuda and can only be accessible by boat. It has one of the largest nesting colonies of frigate birds in the Caribbean.
Frigate birds are known for having bright red gullets and a one-and-a-half-meter wingspan. The sanctuary also attracts about 150 other species of birds, such as herons, cormorants, and pelicans.
17 Mile Beach
Barbuda's 17 Mile beach can either be accessed by boat or helicopter. Tours on the beach often include a lunch on the beach. The island is well-known for its pale aqua waters, with pink-tinged sands.
The island does not have any facilities or shade. Visitors are advised to bring their own food and water, including sun protection.
