Kentucky Representative James Comer has been mocked a lot lately, as his supposed witness against Hunter Biden was outed as a Chinese agent. Gal Luft, the man who accused the Biden family of corruption, was handed federal charges for being a Chinese agent.

Luft, who was brought in as a prime witness against Hunter Biden, faced an eight-count indictment that was unsealed by the Department of Justice last Monday. It was revealed that he acted as an unregistered foreign agent on behalf of China. He was also charged with violating US sanctions against Iran, arms trafficking, and making false statements to federal agents.

Rep. James Comer presented Luft, the co-director of the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security in Maryland, as a "very credible witness on Biden family corruption" on social media last week. However, their case against Hunter Biden hinged on Luft, who suddenly disappeared as the Biden probe moved forward.

On Tuesday, his organization, the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, told Newsweek, "Dr. Gal Luft is a world-renowned expert on energy security, economics, and geopolitics and has written five books. Gal is a man of total integrity and honesty. We are confident in his innocence."

The House Oversight Committee is probing Hunter Biden's alleged links to China. With Luft's relations with China, this could undermine the committee's case against the presidential son.

Hunter Biden Probe Witness Tried To Influence Donald Trump on Behalf of China

The 58-page indictment against Luft revealed that in 2016, the Hunter Biden probe's star witness recruited and paid an unnamed former high-ranking US government official on behalf of certain principals from China. He was doing this as a foreign agent, though he was not registered as one.

According to The Hill, that US official was an adviser to then-President-elect Donald Trump. That official was allegedly paid to publicly support certain policies regarding China.

In addition, Luft also attempted to broker illicit arms deals in various countries, including Libya, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates. He does not have the license to do so, as required by US law.

Luft also arranged meetings between a Chinese energy company and Iranian officials to discuss oil deals, violating sanctions imposed by the US on Iran. He also made false statements to federal authorities regarding that deal.

James Comer Gets Laughed at Again for Witness Being a Chinese Agent

Following the reveal regarding his star witness, people started making fun of Republican Rep. James Comer on TV, including the cast of Morning Joe, according to MEDIAite.

Comer had previously complained that people on MSNBC made fun of him over his witness going missing last month after skipping out on a bail hearing. This got the cast of MSNBC's Morning Joe to pounce on him.

"I mean, seriously. How could we have doubted this guy?" asked host Joe Scarborough sarcastically. Guest Eugene Robinson soon joined in on making fun of Comer, mockingly saying, "Oh, the shame. Oh, the humanity. How could we have doubted?"

Comer was also previously ridiculed for failing to find evidence that President Joe Biden did anything illegal regarding his son, Hunter Biden.
