Some studio executives are planning to wait out the SAG-AFTRA Strike until actors and writers run out of money. However, "Hellboy" actor Ron Perlman did not take this lying down and went on a viral rant where he issued a warning against that studio executive.

In a now-deleted video on Instagram, Perlman slammed an anonymous studio executive who said they had no endgame and were planning to wait the strike out until the striking writers and actors start "losing their homes."

During his expletive-laden tirade against the studios, the actor said, "There's a lot of ways to lose your house. Some of it is financial, some of it is karma, and some of it is just figuring out who the f*** said that."

According to The Daily Mail, Perlman also stated that they know which studio executive said that and where he lives. "'You wish that on people, you wish that families starve while you're making 27 f***ing million dollars a year for creating nothing. Be careful, mother******. Be really careful because that's the kind of s**t that stirs s**t up. Peace out," the 73-year-old actor said in his now-viral rant.

Ron Perlman Clarifies His 'Heated' Words Against Hollywood Executive

Perlman did raise some eyebrows with his rant and has since deleted it from Instagram. However, the rant has now sparked memes, with many showing solidarity with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikers.

In another video, Ron Perlman stated that he does not mean anybody harm. Perlman acknowledged that his expletive-laden rant had a lot of reactions and explained that the rant was his reaction as a member of the Screen Actors Guild but admitted, "I got quite heated because I was talking about a quote from one of the executives on the other side of the negations talking about how they planned to not even begin negotiating until writers and actors started losing their houses and their apartments."

EW reported that Perlman clarified that he did not want any harm on anybody, though the actor stated, "I hope the a--hole who made that comment also doesn't wish anybody any harm, but when you start going around and saying we're not even going to bargain with these f---ing dickheads until they start f---ing bleeding and their families start bleeding... I mean, if you want to talk about some of the s--- that makes people so cynical and so pissed off with our current climate, I mean this strike is just sort of... it's a symptom of a struggle that's way bigger than the strike itself."

The actor then commented that "It's a symptom of the soullessness of corporate America and how everything has become corporatized in this country."

Why the SAG-AFTRA Strike Happened

Actors showed solidarity with the Writers Guild of America with the strike, making this the first actors' strike since 1980. According to Variety, the strike stems from the union demanding at least 2% of the revenue generated by streaming shows. However, this is only one of the reasons,

Many actors were also not happy with the studios' proposal to use AI to replicate background actors. Studios reportedly wanted to pay actors for only an extra for one day of work to scan actors and then reuse their likenesses forever.

SAG-AFTRA admits that it is not seeking to ban AI but says it "wants to make sure that any use of a performer's likeness to generate a new performance is done with compensation and consent."
