Gates for Lollapalooza 2023 opened Thursday morning, with thousands of music fans pouring into the gates to watch their favorite musical acts perform in what is considered to be Chicago's premier music event.

Lollapalooza is one of the biggest music festivals in the United States, with some of the biggest musical acts in the world descending to Chicago to perform. The event is held in Grant Park, with some local restaurants and businesses already cashing in on the crowds of music fans who have traveled from all over the world.

One fan came all the way from New York. Y-Myah Tonge came there to see Billie Eilish, who headlined Day One.

"Chicago is great so far, I love it. I feel like it's better than New York. Sorry New York people," she told ABC-7.

May Gonzalez came from Canada and told the local ABC affiliate that she has a plan to get as close to the stage as possible when the gates opened.

"My brother, he is gonna come and he's gonna help me run for the barricade because he's a track athlete and I paid him to do that for me," she stated.

How To Watch Lollapalooza

If you cannot make it to Chicago to see all your musical acts perform, do not worry because Hulu is streaming the music festival to TVs and smart devices, according to USA Today.

There will be two channels of live performances for Hulu, and it began streaming the performances last Thursday afternoon, including Billie Eilish's headlining performance. The show will also have Hannah Rad serve as the on-air host for the show. She will also take viewers behind the scenes at sponsor T-Mobile's "Club Magenta."

A Hulu subscription is still needed to watch the music festival's streaming, though. However, subscribers can find streams easily by going to the search bar and typing "Lollapalooza."

After the live streams, Hulu announced that Lollapalooza will not be available on demand after the event ends on Sunday.
