Rumors are circulating that "Wednesday" actress Jenna Ortega may be dating a man three times her age. That man is rumored to be none other than Johnny Depp.

The actress has finally addressed these rumors on social media.

Both of them were connected through director Tim Burton, who worked with Ortega on Wednesday while the director infamously collaborates with Johnny Depp frequently. Rumors of the relationship were first posted on Reddit and were made stronger by the now-defunct rumors regarding Ortega appearing with Amber Heard's ex-husband in the upcoming "Beetlejuice 2" film.

However, the young actress shot down these rumors on social media, saying, "This is so ridiculous I can't even laugh. I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone."

According to Inside The Magic, Ortega emphasized that the rumors are false by adding a facepalm emoji and also the hashtag #FakeNews. The actress has previously expressed her frustration with rumors surrounding her love life, even debunking many of them.

Johnny Depp Also Responds to Rumors That He Is Dating Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega is only 20 years old, while Johnny Depp is already 60 years old and a senior citizen, so when rumors of them dating popped up, it raised several eyebrows.

While Ortega chose to respond to the rumors on social media, it was a representative of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor who released a statement for him. Like Ortega, the representative also denied that the two actors were dating.

The statement reads, "Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her. He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career."

Cinema Blend noted that the two actors are hoping that their respective statements would quiet down the rumors as both claimed that they have not even met yet.

Both are still very busy with their careers as Depp is mounting a comeback while Ortega has a slew of new projects, including the second season of "Wednesday."

Several More Addams Family Members May Finally Appear in 'Wednesday' Alongside Jenna Ortega

Speaking of Jenna Ortega rumors, several more are swirling regarding the upcoming second season of Netflix's "Wednesday" series, which is based on the Addams Family.

According to The Direct, three notable Addams Family members who were missing during the first season might finally appear in Season 2. The rumors were fueled when Ortega and other cast members talked about potential additions to Season 2's cast, including the missing Addams family members.

These include Cousin Itt, Gomez Addams' cousin and quite possibly the hairiest member of the family; as well as Grandmama or Eudora Addams, Wednesday's grandmother who is also a witch. Another possible addition is Wednesday and Pugsley's youngest brother, Pubert Addams, who was first introduced in the 1992 "Addams Family" film which starred Christina Ricci as Wednesday.
