Donald Trump Gets Endorsement From South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem made her endorsement of former President Donald Trump official in a public statement Friday evening.
In her endorsement, she praised Trump as a significant leader and fighter the country needs, according to Florida Politics.
"It is my honor to present the man in the arena to you," Noem stated. He has my full and complete endorsement for President of the United States of America. I will do everything I can to help him win and save this country. Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump."
The endorsement did not come as a surprise, as Noem had previously expressed her support for Trump. Moreover, there have been indications that she is considered a potential running mate should Trump secure the GOP nomination.
Governor Noem has proactively defended Trump against Ron DeSantis, another prominent Republican figure. In July, she asserted that DeSantis lacks the same appeal to "small donors" that Trump possesses.
Additionally, earlier this year, her team criticized DeSantis for initially settling for a 15-week abortion ban in 2022, a move rectified by the Heartbeat Bill during the most recent Legislative Session.
South Dakota's primary is scheduled for June, towards the end of the primary calendar.

Donald Trump Holds First Rally After Mugshot
Former President Donald Trump, facing 91 charges across four criminal cases, made a high-profile appearance in South Dakota on Friday, marking his first major event after being photographed for a mugshot in Georgia, said Vanity Fair.
Speaking to an audience of approximately 7,000 gathered in Rapid City, Trump expressed concerns about the state of the country and the need to reclaim it.
"They're just destroying our country. And if we don't take it back - if we don't take it back in '24, I believe we're not going to have a country left," the ex-POTUS said.
He emphasized the situation's urgency and his intention to play a role in the 2024 presidential election.
Furthermore, Trump addressed his legal challenges, asserting, "I'm being indicted for you. That's not part of the job description," highlighting his ongoing legal battles.
During his extensive 110-minute speech, Trump singled out potential competitors in the 2024 presidential race. Notably, he referred to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a chief rival for the GOP nomination, as "Ron DeSanctimonious."
Trump also criticized President Joe Biden, his likely opponent in the general election, characterizing him as "grossly incompetent and very dangerous" and "the most crooked president in history."
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem Says She'd 'Absolutely' Consider Joining Trump Ticket
Republican South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem revealed her willingness to entertain the idea of being former President Donald Trump's running mate in the 2024 presidential election, per the NY Post.
During an interview with "Newsmax," when asked about the prospect of being on the Republican ticket alongside Trump, Noem responded enthusiastically.
She stated, "Oh, absolutely. I would in a heartbeat," emphasizing her respect for both the position and the individual who extends such an invitation.
"Just because you respect the position and the person who asks you to do something and then see if you really believe that you could make a difference," she added.
Noem further conveyed her belief that she would be a formidable choice as Trump's vice presidential candidate.
She argued that Trump would require a strong partner to regain the White House. Her background, encompassing business experience, being an employee, earning a paycheck, and fulfilling roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother, would provide a unique perspective on policy decisions.
