Trevor Lawrence has made his 41st consecutive start in the NFL after he was officially declared active for the Week 7 showdown against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, according to NFL news.

Despite concerns about a lingering knee injury, Lawrence is determined to extend his remarkable streak of never having missed a start throughout his two-plus-season NFL career.

During the pregame warmups, Lawrence was seen wearing a small knee brace. This injury comes just four days after he sustained the injury during a Week 6 victory against the Indianapolis Colts.

Lawrence's presence on the injury report is not entirely unfamiliar, as he was previously listed as questionable for multiple games in the 2022 season due to a toe injury.

However, this marks the first time he has grappled with a knee injury. As recently as Tuesday, Lawrence had expressed uncertainty about his availability, stating that the decision to play would be determined on game day.

Ultimately, the decision has been made, and Lawrence is prepared to take the field against the Saints, marking the first time he will face them in his career.

Remarkably, Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are entering this game on a high note, having secured three consecutive victories leading up to this pivotal Thursday Night Football matchup.

Trevor Lawrence Injury

In the wake of a concerning knee injury, Trevor Lawrence displayed his dedication by participating in limited practice sessions on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

This resilient effort came after he sat out of Monday's practice, following a pivotal moment in the late stages of a 37-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts when he sustained the injury, twisting his knee during a sack, AP reports.

The quarterback left the field immediately after that critical play, but, to the relief of fans and the Jacksonville Jaguars organization, Lawrence expressed on Tuesday that his condition had improved more than expected.

He affirmed his determination to do everything within his power to take the field in the upcoming game.

Trevor Lawrence's season statistics have also captured attention. He has maintained a 67% completion rate on his passes, accumulating a total of 1,439 passing yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

However, the concern arises from the mounting sack count he has faced, with a total of 16 sacks thus far.

This places him on a trajectory to surpass his previous career high of 32 sacks in a single season, a record set in 2021, the year he was selected as the first overall draft pick out of Clemson.

Jaguars vs Saints

The New Orleans Saints also made some key adjustments in their offensive line for the upcoming clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per ESPN.

Andrus Peat took over the left tackle position following the absence of James Hurst due to an ankle injury, as reported by sources close to ESPN's Ed Werder.

In addition, Cameron Erving has been elevated from the practice squad to assume the role of right tackle, as Ryan Ramczyk has been ruled out due to a concussion.

Adding to the Saints' roster adjustments is the return of running back Jamaal Williams, who has been activated from the injured reserve list.

Williams had been sidelined due to a hamstring injury, and his comeback provided a boost to the Saints' backfield.

Meanwhile, if Trevor Lawrence was unable to play, C.J. Beathard is positioned to take the helm.

Beathard, in his third season with the Jaguars, previously spent three years with the San Francisco 49ers. His career record as a starter stands at 2-10.

Following their road contest against the Saints, the Jaguars (4-2) are scheduled to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 29 before entering a Week 9 bye.

They will return the following week for a home game against the San Francisco 49ers.
