The cast of "Friends" are all devastated as Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc released a joint statement regarding the death of Chandler Bing himself, Matthew Perry.

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," the statement read. The remaining "Friends" cast members also added that they are taking time to "grieve and process" the death of their fallen friend.

"There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss," the statement from Perry's costars. "In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

The six stars appeared together from 1994-2004 and remained friends even after the show ended. They reunited in 2021 for HBO Max's "Friends: The Reunion" special, over a decade since the show ended.

Matthew Perry was found "unconscious in a stand-alone jacuzzi" by an unknown person who then called 911 after lifting the "Friends" actor's head from the hot tub. However, when first responders arrived, it was all too late.

"A bystander had brought the man's head above the water and gotten him to the edge, then Firefighters removed him from the water upon their arrival," stated the Los Angeles Fire Department. "A rapid medical assessment, sadly, revealed the man was deceased prior to first responder arrival."

New Details on Matthew Perry's Death Revealed

While Perry's official cause of death is still being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, a new report has surfaced and it revealed that first responders found that his body was not waterlogged. This casts doubt on the actor's cause of death.

According to Yahoo! Entertainment, Perry was alone at home after playing a 2-hour game of pickleball. While authorities were not able to find any hard drugs in his Los Angeles home, they did find prescription pills.

Perry was reportedly not in the water for an extended period and was thus not waterlogged. This throws some doubt into the accidental drowning theory that many have right now.

Matthew Perry's Ex-Fiancée Speaks Out

Molly Hurwitz was once supposed to marry "Friends" star Matthew Perry. She dated him from 2018 to 2021 and broke her silence after his untimely passing.

"He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was," she wrote on Instagram, according to E! news. She then remembered him as he was preparing for the "Friends Reunion" special in 2021, adding, "As the Friends reunion was approaching, we rewatched the show together. 'F--k, I was so good!! See what I did there???'"

"I obviously knew that man in a very different way, too," she added. "While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I'd never known."
