Aaron Paul may become a cast member on another AMC drama. And we're not referring to "Better Call Saul."

A single tweet has sparked rumors suggesting that Aaron Paul could be close to joining the cast of "The Walking Dead" for its fifth season.

Here's the full tweet: "Aaron Paul 'Jesse from breaking bad' could be joining the cast of #TheWalkingDead... This is not yet confirmed." Don't discount this possibility however remote it may seem.

The rumor was posted on the Walking_News twitter account one day ago. Walking_News has a appears to be a reputable information source for "The Walking Dead" spoilers. And since the account has a fairly large Twitter following, the rumor spread like wildfire.

And then there's this: Paul isn't officially part of the "Better Call Saul" cast yet. While it is assumed that he will be a part of the "Breaking Bad" prequel, nothing is set in stone currently. That show has been delayed until 2015, so Paul may have some time to pull double duty.

But a bigger factor that lends credibility to this casting rumor is that Paul just happens to be close friends with Norman Reedus, perhaps better known as the gruff, crossbow toting Daryl Dixon on "The Walking Dead."

Darly and Aaron have even been spending a lot of time together recently, and some are pegging their relationship a bromance. Pictures of their follies have been appearing on Instagram.

It would be a welcome change to throw a Pinkman-like character into the middle of the "Dead" universe. The show has lost must of its levity now that Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) has become a more battle-tested warrior. A good comic relief character may help balance out the show.

Paul carved out a niche for himself playing Jesse Pinkman on "Breaking Bad." Pinkman became a fan favorite based on his signature catchphrase "Yo bitch!" and his penchant for getting into trouble.

And if you're familiar with the way Season 5 ended and the main cast of characters arriving at purported safe-haven Terminus, you'll know that it would be quite convenient for the writers to slot in a new character.

And get a load of this. Drug kingpin Walter White may make an appearance on "Better Call Saul," according to Executive Producer Peter Gould.

"One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before Breaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad'. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on Breaking Bad."

Exciting!
