Money in the Bank winner Seth Rollins kicked off WWE Smackdown, talking about his victory Sunday night when he was interrupted by Dean Ambrose, attacking his former Shield partner before Randy Orton came out to save Rollins.

Rollins and "The Apex Predator" double-teamed Ambrose before Roman Reigns came out to even up the odds for Ambrose. Triple H came out to the ring and announced that Ambrose would be taking on Orton in the main event and if Reigns interferes in the match, he loses his title shot in the Battleground main event.

Sheamus successfully defended his United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio after hitting ADR with the Brogue Kick to score the pin.

Bo Dallas came out with a mic in hand, saying that he intended to win the Intercontinental Championship -- vacated after "Bad News" Barrett suffered an injury -- for "little Daniel" before he made a "Bo-Liever" out of Diego of Los Matadores, hitting him with the Bo-Dog to continue his winning streak.

Chris Jericho, who returned to the WWE last Monday night on "Raw," came out to address the WWE Universe, but was less than his usual jovial self, saying that Bray Wyatt -- whose clan mauled Y2J -- reminded him rather quickly that the WWE was all about survival, and that he would show the Wyatts what "crazy" really meant. Bray Wyatt responded via the TitanTron before The Miz came down to the ring, still angry that Jericho stole his moment Monday night. Miz ended up catching a Codebreaker for his troubles.

Big E Langston and Antonio Cesaro battled to a no-contest and ended just brawling outside the ring.

Newly-crowned WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee -- who defeated Paige last Monday night -- defeated Eva Marie, making her tap out to the Black Widow submission hold. Paige, who was doing commentary during the bout, climbed into the ring after the match to shake the new champion's hand.

Damien Sandow came out dressed as Bruce Springsteen to entertain the masses, mentioning the song "Born in the USA" before he was decimated by Alexander Rusev. Lana, mic in hand, began her anti-American new-school Cold War rhetoric before Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger came out to make the save, forcing Lana and Rusev to retreat.

In the main event, Dean Ambrose defeated Randy Orton via disqualification after Seth Rollins interfered in the match, nailing his former partner with the MITB suitcase. Both Rollins and "The Viper" continued their assault on Ambrose, working on his injured shoulder before Reigns came to the rescue, nailing Orton with the Superman Punch. Reigns was looking to finish Orton off with the Spear before Rollins pulled Orton out of the ring and out of Reigns' line of fire, with Reigns and Ambrose left standing tall celebrating to end the show.
