Adriana Lima may be the top five models in the world, but it doesn't mean everyone recognizes her.

The model was in Barcelona to promote Desigual, as she is the new face of the brand. She talked about her experience as a model. She called it an "honor" to be one of the top models and said that she does her job wholeheartedly. According to Revista Vanity Fair, Lima also says that there is no competition with her and the other models as they grew up together.  

"People think that in our world there is rivalry ... but it's not true," she said.

The Brazilian also spoke about being mistaken for another model, Irina Shayk.

"It's an honor because she is really a beautiful, fun and intelligent woman," she said. "I don't know what she thinks because we have never talked about that. Let me tell you a story: one time I got off a taxi in Abu Dhabi and people started to approach me thinking that I was her... Irina! Irina! It was very fun."

This was the first interview Lima gave in Spain after separating from Marko Jaric, but she didn't talk about him at the press conference.

"Honestly, in this moment I feel I am literally living 'la vida es chula,'" she said, using the Desigual slogan. "And I'm happy."

Though she doesn't know where her life will take her, she said that perhaps love is right around the corner.

Another thing the Brazilian model has her eyes on is acting, but she's being realistic about it, saying that she has no idea if she even has the aptitude or skill to pull it off. Instead, the only thing she wants for her future is to be like the actress who portrays her in the future in a Desigual teaser.
