In a distressing turn of events, the mother of Elijah Vue, a 3-year-old boy missing since Tuesday morning in Wisconsin, has been apprehended, according to People.

Elijah was last seen around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, and his mother, Katrina Baur, appeared on the Manitowoc County Jail's inmate list on Wednesday morning.

Jesse Vang, residing at the same address where Wisconsin boy was last seen, is also in custody.

Both individuals, aged 31 and 39 respectively, were still listed as inmates on Thursday morning, though the reasons for their detainment and potential charges remain unclear.

The family is understandably worried and emotional about Elijah's disappearance.

Orson Vue, Elijah's uncle, expressed concern, stating, "We're extremely worried, we're all emotional at this point... and we're hopeful."

Elijah was reported missing on Tuesday morning by his adult caretaker.

Described as having Hmong and White ethnicity with dark blonde hair and brown eyes, he was last seen wearing gray pants, a long-sleeved dark shirt, and red and green dinosaur shoes, possibly carrying a red and white plaid blanket.

Elijah also has a birthmark on his left knee.

Jesse Vang Faces Child Neglect Charge

Jesse Vang, whose address matches the location where Wisconsin boy was last seen, is expected to appear in court on a requested charge of child neglect, Fox 11 reported.

As of now, no formal charges have been filed, and the court appearance scheduled for Thursday was canceled shortly before it was supposed to begin.

Elijah Vue's disappearance triggered an Amber Alert, prompting authorities to request neighbors to inspect their properties, including outbuildings and vehicles.

Doorbell camera owners were urged to review footage, but using personal drones for search efforts was discouraged to avoid interference with law enforcement drones.

Community Mobilizes in Search Efforts

Community members have rallied in their efforts to find Elijah Vue, organizing search parties and prayer vigils. Orson Vue, addressing the ongoing search, mentioned "We haven't found out anything new. It's the same thing as last night... more family members are here, and we are just trying to support each other, asking the community if they have any information," WBAY reports.

Despite the challenges, the family remains positive and hopeful.

Orson Vue expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the search and encouraged the community to share any information with authorities.

The extensive search involves volunteers from across Northeast Wisconsin, with residents actively participating in searches throughout the neighborhood.

Jessica Shields, a Two Rivers resident, emphasized the collective effort, saying, "I don't know Elijah from a can of paint, him or his family, but by being a mother, it just doesn't sit right with me being at home, just doing nothing.

We have been in the woods, we have been in the neighborhoods looking, in sheds, I crawled under homes, we've been everywhere, but it don't stop, it don't stop."

As the search continues, the family urges the community to remain vigilant and reach out to authorities with any pertinent information that could assist in locating the Wisconsin boy.
