Las Vegas: Ex-Congressional Candidate Dan Rodimer Wanted for Murder
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Dan Rodimer, an ex-congressional candidate and former professional wrestler, on charges related to the death of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp on the Las Vegas Strip.
Tapp sustained injuries in what was initially reported as an accidental incident at Crockfords at Resorts World in October, according to ABC13.
However, detectives later discovered evidence suggesting an altercation had occurred inside a resort room before Tapp's demise.
Tapp was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on November 5.
The Clark County Coroner's autopsy report determined Tapp's death as a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head, revealing evidence of multiple brain bleeds.
The incident was initially called an accident, but the investigation unfolded a different narrative.
Rodimer's Past and Criminal Allegations
Following the Las Vegas murder investigation, Dan Rodimer, also known as Dan Rodman during his wrestling career in WWE, faced allegations in a criminal complaint filed by the Clark County District Attorney's office.
The complaint accused Rodimer of striking Tapp on the head in a "willful, deliberate, and premeditated" manner, Daily Beast reports.
Rodimer, an ex-congressional candidate in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District in 2020, lost the race to Representative Susie Lee.
Following his electoral defeat, he relocated to Texas for another congressional bid, marked by accusations of adopting a phony Texas accent to appeal to voters.
His past includes a 2011 arrest for misdemeanor battery, where he threw a man to the floor at a Waffle House in Florida.
Witnesses reported Rodimer, seemingly intoxicated, expressing a penchant for causing harm.

Current Legal Proceedings and Response
As of now, jail records indicate that Dan Rodimer is not in custody.
However, court records reveal his intention to fly to Las Vegas to address the arrest warrant.
The court has set an initial bail amount of $200,000.
In response to the Las Vegas murder allegations, lawyers for Rodimer issued a statement asserting his voluntary surrender to authorities.
The statement affirms Rodimer's commitment to vigorously contest the charges, urging respect for the presumption of innocence.
Dan Rodimer's political journey includes an unsuccessful attempt to overturn the 2020 election results, allegations of irregularities, and an earlier bid for the Nevada state Senate in 2018, 3News noted.
After his 2020 loss, he moved to Texas, running in a special election for the 6th Congressional District and releasing memorable campaign ads.
His legal history involves the 2010 battery charges related to an incident at a Waffle House in Florida, which was later dropped after completing an anger management course.
The unfolding Las Vegas murder case raises questions about the ex-congressional candidate's legal troubles and adds a dark chapter to his controversial political career.
The developments will be closely watched as the legal proceedings progress.
