Wisconsin: More Human Remains Found in Lake Michigan
Additional human remains, suspected to be those of Sade Robinson, the 19-year-old college student who vanished earlier this month after a first date, have been discovered on a Lake Michigan beach in Wisconsin, as confirmed by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office on Thursday.
A citizen walking along a remote beach stumbled upon a torso and an arm at 7:37 AM Thursday, as reported by the sheriff's office.
These findings are the latest in a series of grim discoveries made following Robinson's disappearance, CNN reports.
Robinson, a student at Milwaukee Area Technical College, went missing after a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson. Her absence from work prompted a search that led to the discovery of several body parts and her burned-out vehicle.
Criminal Charges
Maxwell Anderson faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson in connection with Sade Robinson's death. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday at the Milwaukee County Courthouse Criminal Justice Facility.
Anderson's attorney, Anthony Cotton, has stated that his client is presumed innocent and will vigorously contest the charges, according to TMJ4.
The investigation into Robinson's disappearance began when a severed human leg was found on a beach in Warnimont Park, Cudahy, on April 2.
Additional remains believed to be Robinson's were subsequently discovered in Milwaukee.
Phone records traced Robinson's movements on the night of April 1, from the seafood restaurant where she had a date with Anderson to various locations, including Anderson's home and the park where remains were found.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Robinson's memorial service, describing her as a beloved daughter, sister, and friend.
"The pain of losing Sade has left a void in the hearts of her family, especially her grieving mother and little sister, along with other relatives, friends, and the entire community who loved and supported her," the description says. "As we come together to honor Sade's memory, we aim to provide her with the dignified farewell she deserves."
Originally from Mississippi, Robinson was on the verge of graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin and pursuing a career in criminal justice.
Her tragic death has deeply affected her family, friends, and the wider community, prompting efforts to ensure she receives a dignified farewell.
Continued Search Efforts
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office remains committed to supporting Sade Robinson's family as they navigate this difficult time, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted.
A sonar detection boat is scheduled to search Lake Michigan in Wisconsin for additional evidence related to Robinson's case.
Additionally, a vigil to honor Robinson is planned for Kilbourn Reservoir Park in Milwaukee on Friday evening, where attendees are encouraged to wear pink and bring pink balloons and flowers in her memory.
The discovery of additional remains adds to the ongoing tragedy surrounding Robinson's disappearance.
Her mother, Sheena Scarbrough, described the situation as an "ongoing nightmare," highlighting the profound pain experienced by Robinson's loved ones.
Despite the anguish, the community remains united in seeking justice for Robinson and honoring her memory as a vibrant and promising young woman.
