National Retail Solutions (NRS) Donates to Support Bentley University's La Cultura Latina
In a move highlighting its commitment to community engagement, National Retail Solutions (NRS) has donated $4,000 to Bentley University's La Cultura Latina, a student organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Latinx culture. The donation comes as part of NRS's ongoing efforts to support initiatives that foster inclusivity and cultural understanding, especially in the communities its employees and partners are connected to.
NRS, a leader in point-of-sale (POS) systems for independent retailers, has been vocal about its support for community-oriented organizations. "At NRS, we are committed to supporting organizations that empower students and create positive change in our communities," said Elie Y. Katz, CEO of NRS. "We are particularly proud to support Bentley University's La Cultura Latina, an organization that resonates deeply with us due to the involvement of our intern, Syanco Estrada. Witnessing her dedication to promoting cultural understanding and inclusivity has been truly inspiring."
La Cultura Latina plays a vital role on Bentley University's campus by offering students a space to explore and celebrate their Latinx heritage. Throughout the academic year, the organization hosts various events such as cultural celebrations, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives. Its signature event, "La Raza," is a vibrant cultural festival that brings together students and community members to experience the richness of Latinx cultures through music, dance, food, and art.
The organization's president, Syanco Estrada, who is also an intern at NRS, expressed her gratitude for the donation, noting how significant it is to receive such meaningful support from a company that values diversity and inclusion. "I am incredibly grateful to NRS for their generous donation to La Cultura Latina. It is truly inspiring to work for a company that values community engagement and supports organizations that promote diversity and inclusion," Estrada said.
The donation is not just a one-off contribution; it reflects a broader commitment from NRS to giving back to the communities in which its employees live and work. NRS continues to be a major player in providing technological solutions to independent retailers while also extending its reach into social causes that align with its values of inclusivity and empowerment.
La Cultura Latina is a fitting recipient of such a contribution. With its mission to support and uplift students of Latinx descent, the organization has become a cornerstone for fostering inclusivity at Bentley University. By hosting events that are both celebratory and educational, La Cultura Latina ensures that all students have a platform to learn about and engage with Latinx culture.
The partnership between NRS and La Cultura Latina not only strengthens the university's ability to provide a diverse and inclusive environment but also exemplifies how companies can actively support student-led initiatives that are shaping the next generation of leaders.
