BTS & Corridos Tumbados? Peso Pluma Might Collaborate With the K-Pop Artists
Peso Pluma isn't ruling out a possible collaboration with the popular K-pop group, BTS.The K-pop industry has steadily carved a path into the global market, especially in recent years. Much of this success is credited to the popular band BTS, which has dominated charts outside of Korea, earning prestigious awards and even Grammy nominations.
The impact of the Korean music market is so significant that more artists are joining Asian platforms used by fans to interact with their idols. These platforms function as forums where fans can leave messages for artists, who in turn can respond, creating a closer connection.
In recent months, several artists have joined these spaces to engage with their fans, including Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, and Mexican singer Peso Pluma.
Through his profile on Bubble, Peso Pluma shared a behind-the-scenes photo from his upcoming project, which many speculate could be a collaboration. The excitement and curiosity escalated when he captioned the image with "BTS," referencing "Behind The Scenes."
Reactions were quick, and one of his followers sent a message reading "BTS COLLAB," to which Peso Pluma responded with a 🥷 emoji.
Both his fans and BTS fans immediately started speculating, brimming with excitement at the possibility of a collaboration.
Though five of the seven BTS members are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea, this hasn't stopped them from releasing new music.
Some members have continued to launch projects even during this period, with the most recent example being "Neva Play," a collaboration between BTS leader RM and rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

So far, there hasn't been any official confirmation from either side, but the anticipation for this potential collaboration continues to grow. If it happens, this wouldn't be the first time a BTS member collaborates with a Latin artist, nor would it be the first Korean-Latin crossover.
In September 2019, BTS's J-Hope released "Chicken Noodle Soup," a collaboration with Mexican-American singer Becky G. They remain friends to this day, leading fans to speculate that Becky could play a role in a future collaboration with Peso Pluma.

Other Latino-K-pop crossovers include Natti Natasha with Momoland, Reik with Super Junior, Ricky Martin with Wendy from Red Velvet, and Sebastián Yatra with Monsta X.
For now, nothing is confirmed, but fans of both artists can't help but wonder what type of song it could be. BTS in a "corrido tumbado"? Or perhaps Peso Pluma taking on a more melodic style? We hope to have answers soon.
