'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 Cast News Update 2014: Courtney Love Nabs Role on Hit Show
On the eve of her 50th birthday, it was announced that Courtney Love would join the seventh season of "Sons of Anarchy."
TV Line reports that the singer will be featured in a few episodes of the show's final season. She will play Mrs. Harrison, who is Abel's preschool teacher. Abel is Jax Teller's oldest son. Her storyline will interact with Abel's mom, who is played by Drea de Matteo.
Love's character will first be seen in episode 4.
This is hardly the first acting job for Love.
She starred in "The People vs. Larry Flynt," "Man on the Moon" and "200 Cigarettes." But, this will be her first television role.
For her 50th birthday, the singer wrote an article for XOJane talking about the 50 things she couldn't live without.
At the top of her list was her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
"My proudest accomplishment always makes me prouder," she wrote. "Her artwork is phenomenal, too."
Some of her other needs include acupuncture, Givenchy and "chick lit inspiration." Acting also made the list at No. 16.
Love recently spoke about how Miley made 2013 exciting and how she plans to work with her in the future. She also explained that Hollywood has a problem with weight but not as much with drug use, notes News.com.au.
"I got a little chunky because I love cheese," she admitted, "but I have been on a diet. If you get really fat or lose all your hair, you can't just put on a baseball hat like guys can. They will forgive you [for] all the drugs in the world but they will never forgive you getting fat."
And it seems she has acting on her mind because she also said that getting back into Hollywood has been difficult.
"I have to be more proactive," she said. "I am friends with all the movie stars but you need the lawyers; to find the right agent, you have to find the lawyer they are affiliated with. It's complicated."
