Justin Bieber Zone: 'Baby' Singer Charged with Misdemeanor Vandalism in Egging Case
Justin Bieber has been charged with misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly egging his former neighbor's Calabasas, California mansion earlier this year, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Bieber's neighbor, who has repeatedly been complaining about the "Bad Day" singer, hosting loud parties and speeding recklessly in their upscale, gated community, called 911 claiming that he and his daughter videotaped him throwing eggs at their house.
Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department then searched Bieber's home for evidence and ended up arresting one of his friends, aspiring rapper Lil Za, on felony drug possession charges in Jan. 14. Also, the surveillance footage seized from the "Baby" hitmaker's house showed him high-fiving friends after egging the neighbor's home.
The 20-year-old pop star was not present for the arraignment on Wednesday morning, July 9, at Superior Court in Van Nuys. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vandalism, and as result of negotiated settlement, he was placed on supervised probation for two years, as well as community service for five days.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources claimed that Bieber was also ordered to pay his neighbor $80,900 in restitution for damaged caused, in addition to completing 12 weeks of anger management classes with a minimum of one per week. Lastly, he has to stay at least 100 yards away from the victim and his family.
"Justin is glad to get this matter resolved and behind him," Bieber's rep said in a written statement per E!Online. "He will continue to move forward focusing on his career and his music."
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's drunk driving charge in Miami is still pending, although a source close to the case claimed talks are under way to reach a plea deal to avoid a trial.
