Jesse Pinkman as a Hebrew slave?

According to Variety, "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul is in negotiations to join Ridley Scott's biblical Moses drama, "Exodus."

Paul is set to join the cast of the epic feature, which includes Joel Edgerton, Christian Bale, Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro and Ben Kingsley.

Ridley Scott is directing the epic feature, with Peter Chernin as producer and Steve Zaillian ("The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", "Moneyball") penning the script, Variety writes. Zaillian won an Oscar for "Schindler's List."

Paul will portray Joshua, the Hebrew slave who eventually leads to the people to the promised land after Moses, Variety writes. Moses will be played by Bale and the pharaoh Ramses will be played by Edgerton.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Weaver, who began her film career when she starred in Scott's 1979 classic sci-fi flick 'Alien,' will portray Tuya, the mother of Ramses while Turturro will play the father.

Kingsley will play the part of a Hebrew scholar, Entertainment Weekly writes.

Filming and production for the Fox feature starts in September, and will take place in Spain, England and Morroco, Variety writes.

Both Weaver and Paul, who are repped by UTA, are currently nominated for Primetime Emmy awards, for "Political Animals" and "Breaking Bad" respectively.

Weaver also starred in Fox's 'Avatar,' which is the highest-grossing film of all time.

While Paul can be seen in the last season of 'Breaking Bad' on AMC, he also has an upcoming role in DreamWorks "Need For Speed," which will be released in Mar. 2014.

Paul isn't the only 'Breaking Bad' actor who has been cast in an high-profile film. Bryan Cranston has reportedly been cast as super villain Lex Luthor in the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel. Cranston may portray Superman's archenemy in as many as 10 films.
