Nintendo Super Smash Bros. 4 for 3DS & Wii U New Characters, Release Date and Price: Captain Falcon Returns, Joined by Fire Emblem Cast Robin and Lucina
As the release date draws closer, Nintendo has announced an addition of four new Super Smash Bros 4 heroes to their character line up on Monday.
Joining the rest of the fan-favorite characters in the much-awaited video game are Captain Falcon, and stars of Fire Emblem Lucina and Robin, whose male and female versions will both be available.
Nintendo made the announcement in a brief video of Super Smash Bros featuring the four newcomers. A fantastic piece art by Yusuke Kozaki was also featured as part of the reveal.
The line-up for the popular brawler video game consists of 37 playable characters with the recent addition of Pac-Man, the Mii Fighters, Palutena, Greninja, Rosalina & Luma, Little Mac, Mega Man, Villager, and the Wii Fit Trainer.
This highly anticipated game is the next official installment of the successful franchise that started with the Nintendo 64. Super Smash Bros. is only made once for every home console of Nintendo with the last one coming out for the Wii in 2008.
This year, two Smash Bros. games will be released -- one for the Wii U and another for the handheld gaming console Nintendo 3DS.
The game is an all-time favorite because of its unique gameplay. Gamers get to select the characters they want to use in a brawl where the players fight to push their opponents off the stage using regular attacks or special moves. The best part without a doubt is the fact that gamers can choose their avatars from a selection of characters representing well-loved video games from both the past and the present.
Super Smash Bros. 4 will be available on the Nintendo 3DS for $39.99 this coming October while the Wii U version will be launched sometime during the holidays later this year for $59.99, according to GameStop.
