Katie Holmes was seen dancing with actor Jamie Foxx this weekend, sparking rumors about how close the two stars may be.

Holmes was partying at an event called The Hampton: A Night of Legends when she was spotted. According to rumors, Holmes grabbed actor-singer Foxx and television host Ellen DeGeneres to join her on the dance floor.

The dance-off is making headlines since Holmes, who gained fame as Joey in the teenage drama "Dawson's Creek," filed for divorce from actor Tom Cruise over a year ago. Foxx is reportedly one of Cruise's best friends.

The stars were seen dancing together all night to a variety of songs including Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," Robin Thicke's single "Blurred Lines" and "American Woman," performed by Lenny Kravitz.

Holmes and Foxx allegedly looked particularly happy while dancing to "Blurred Lines."

A New York Post source claims that they overheard Holmes tell two of her girlfriends that "I haven't had such a good time in so long."

The New York Post also claims that Holmes, 34, and Foxx, 45, have become increasingly close over the past few weeks but also acknowledges that the two stars have been friends for a long time.

The Hamptons: A Night of Legends was held at Ron Pereleman's estate in East Hampton. Pereleman is an Apollo Theater board member.

The Roots and Lenny Krativz were featured live performers at Saturday's event. Ciara, Pharrell, Darlene Love and Jon Bon Jovi held surprise performances as well.

Colin Powell, Matt Lauer, Billy Joel, Howard Stern, Savannah Guthrie, Mary J. Blige, Anjelica Huston and Penny Marshall were reported to be at The Hamptons: A Night of Legends as well.

The fundraising event ended up raising $3 million for the Apollo Theater. The theater will use the money to fund non-profit community, education and art programs.

Foxx also reportedly shared a good amount of dancing time with Colin Powell.
