George Zimmerman's wife openly discussed the couple's marriage in an interview with ABC this week.

Shellie Zimmerman, who pleaded guilty this week to perjury charges, said that divorce is "something I'll have to think about" but also said that she still wants to remain married and have kids.

According to The New York Daily News, she said that the couple has been in hiding since her husband was found not guilty in the high-profile murder trial following the death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman fatally shot Martin and sparked discussions about race after the local police department failed to initially charge him. Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law, which was the basis for his defense, has been questioned ever since it seemed to lead to Zimmerman's acquittal.

Shellie was often seen in attendance at her husband's court sessions, which were televised on a national stage. The publicity and aftermath of the situation have taken such a toll on the couple that she said they were even living in a trailer in the woods. She said she wishes "the circumstances" were different and that she did not believe her husband did the right thing in shooting the 17-year-old, unarmed Martin. Her husband's attorney, Mark O'Mara, said he and his client are seeking between $200,000 and $300,000 from the court as reimbursement for court costs.

Shellie's perjury conviction stems from a 2012 bond hearing, during which she lied about the amount of money she and her husband had. She admitted to talking in code with George while he was in jail; the couple would talk about $10, $20, and $100 when it actually stood for money in the thousands.

According to USA Today, she cannot possess, carry, or own a gun. She also needs to have permission in order to move, leave the country, or change her job.
