Gal Godot, Wonder Woman: Batman v. Superman Heroine is 'Fast & Furious' Actress and Former Miss Israel
There is still a two-year wait before the film "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters worldwide. But this early the image of Wonder Woman has already been released, first from the tweet of Zack Snyder and then during the San Diego Comic-Con, according to Forbes.
The first official picture of Gal Gadot, the new Wonder Woman in full costume was also revealed at Comic-Con.
Fans are in for a surprise because the new Wonder Woman is very different from Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot's costume is also a body hugging bustier but made of dark brown or bronze-colored leather, more reminiscent of gladiators of old and very apt for an Amazonian woman. She is still shown wearing thigh-high boots, wristbands and a headband but she's holding a sword. In her photo, she is shown standing on a slab of volcanic rock and staring menacingly at someone or somewhere in the distance.
If you are used to seeing a delicate-looking Gadot, you will be surprised at her Wonder Woman persona. Gadot was a former Miss Israel title holder and a model as well. But she was also a former Israeli Defense Force sports trainer and had served her mandatory military service for two years. She did her own stunt work in the "Fast and Furious" movies and is super fit, which clearly shows clearly in the revealed official photo of Wonder Woman.
Although it is predicted that the film "Batman V. Superman" will be a box-office hit, there is talk that it will also hinge on audience acceptance of Wonder Woman.
There had been several films for the male superheroes but heroines, aside from there being so few, have yet to have their own heroine-centric film. That is why those in the know are taking a close look at how Wonder Woman will be used by Zack Snyder.
